The Liman effect - and valuable alternatives

You may wonder about today's title  -  "The Liman effect".

Well, if you read our blog published yesterday, you know that we had our dinner at the Liman restaurant in Side and that it caused both of us to have stomach problems last night.

Neither of us slept well and in the morning, Sharon was still feeling sick. Rune was almost quite okay. Sharon stayed in the room and tried as best as possible to relax. Rune went to the beach and stayed there for about 5 hours.

Sharon came to the beach at lunch time, but had to go back after eating a bit at the Beach Club. In the early evening after sleeping, she luckily felt better.

The Liman effect was not good for us and it practically destroyed a complete day for Sharon  -  and therefore also for Rune.

But now in the evening, both of us have eaten and feel quite okay. So tomorrow should be a good day for health  -  without any Liman effect. For those of you who might want to know more about our experience in the Liman restaurant, feel free to contact us.

Valuable alternatives

There are many places to eat rather than in the Liman restaurant. Our favourite places to eat good Turkish food are Ocakbasi in Side and Harman in Manavgat.

In Ocakbasi you come as a guest and leave as a friend. And that is more than just words. You get a handshake and good wishes when you leave. When coming back, they are real happy and you get a deduction on your bill. At least we did. They have a variety of dishes.

In Harman you need to speak German (or Turkish). You get a real Turkish feeling eating there. They have few dishes. Two persons can eat and drink for 30 TRY.

We are back with more tomorrow.
