Bad dinner experience on a hot day

As this picture shows, today was a hot day. At 4.30pm, the shadow temperature showed 42 degrees Celsius. By that time, we had enjoyed some hours on the beach; well, due to the heat, most of the time was spent in the sea!

In the afternoon, Sharon had a short siesta while Rune went for a walk  -  at 42 degrees.

But isn't that too hot? Well, when you live in Norway and have cold winters, cool autumns and springs, and even cold and rainy summers, there is no reason whatsoever to complain about the heat. It is actually nice walking in the heat.

In the evening, we took the dolmus to Side to get some nice views of the sunset.

But not only of the sunset. Also other nice shots.

In the evening, we had dinner in a Liman restaurant, recommended by our Ving guide. When knowing that we preferred to eat Turkish food, the waiter recommended a starter and a main course. We followed his recommendation. If you read our reports from previous days, you know that we have had quite good experiences eating here in Turkey. But Liman restaurant is an exception. Not only was the service bad, the food was not good either. The meat was hard and dry and without any taste. And when being back home in our hotel, both of us suffer from stomach problems.

Our recommendation today therefore is: there are several of nice and good places to eat both in Side and in Manavgat  -  also in our hotel Sunwing Resort Side West and at the Beach Club. But stay away from Liman restaurant!!! Despite what your guide might tell you.

We will be back tomorrow, hopefully with better stomachs.
