Fukara

While enjoying a Turkish buffet in our hotel Wednesday evening, we came over the "Fukara" casserole. Sharon reacted to the name because in Swahili, "fukara" means very poor.

Before we left the restaurant, we found out that it has the same meaning in Turkish. It is not a common word anymore, rather an older word. But it means the same and therefore the casserole also consist of vegetables only.

It was a tasty buffet with starters, main courses and desserts. We enjoyed it very much.

Earlier in the day, we spent a couple of hours on the beach before we went to Kumköy where we were lucky to find quite many things that will become Christmas gifts later this year. And in the evening, we even found a warm winter jacket for Rune.

At around 11pm, we took a bath in the pool. It was very nice. The last hour of so, we spent talking on our balcony.

So it was yet another nice day here in Turkey.
