Hot little Turkey

Today's trip was not a repeat of the little Turkey trip that Rune enjoyed four years ago. Last time, the trip took Rune up in the mountains. This time, the destinations were located not too far away from the coast.

First, we were visiting the largest mosque in the area.

Later, we were driving to a village a little higher up. There, we visited a much smaller mosque.

It was quite a hot day. The temperature in this village was about 40-45 degrees Celsius. The shadow was the most popular place for most of the tourists joining the trip, including Sharon.

But a small minority was enjoying every second, knowing that warm sun is seldom in Norway....!

The stay in this village gave a good impression of how Turkish people live.

The fruits in the trees are also different from back home in Norway.

But back to how Turkish people live. We were visiting a 79 years old woman and her family. In her house, we were served ice tea and something that tasted like mandazi.

We had lunch by the Manavgat river.

We ended the trip by a visit to the Manavgat market.

After having had a hot day in the village, it was nice to walk the 250 metres to the beach when we came back to our hotel. Today, the sea temperature was higher, which means above 30 degrees. This is definitely summer the way we like it!

Our next report will be published in about 24 hours from now.
